REVITALISATION OF THE FITNESS TRAIL NEAR LEISURE CENTRE “ŻABKA” IN ŁAZISKA GÓRNE – IV STAGE CONTSTRUCTION OF THE SKATEPARK
The project involves the construction of a skatepark – obstacles and surfaces with lighting and a sound system. The new infrastructure is located in the vicinity of sport and leisure centre „Żabka” in Łaziska Górne; next to one of the swimming pools. The leisure centre, where the skatepark is located, has excellent transport links and is adjacent to the transit route DK 81 Katwoice – Wisła.
The project resulted in the creation of an organised skatepark zone, complementing the existing infrastructure of the „Żabka” leisure centre, which already consists of a fitness trail, a play area and an outdoor gym. The skatepark became part of the network of activity zones, as an additional element of the tourism and recreation projects/products. It should be noted that the concept of building the skatepark in Łaziska Górne resulted from the request for such a facility by skating enthusiasts in the county of Mikołów.
- The resulting land associated with the project is as follows:
- Area of the project site – 793.54 m2,
- Area of concrete surface of the skatepark, including obstacles – 546.14 m2,
- Area of paved paths – 247.40 m2.
Elements of the skatepark: bowl, two-level manual pad, rails, steps, london gaps, gaps, walls, ramps.
The construction was carried out in the period: February – July 2014.
Skatepark – the new structure in Łaziska Górne is an excellent choice for residents of the county and region, as well as tourists visiting Łaziska Górne.
